You and Me

There’s this game I play with my friend. It’s called You and Me. When we’re walking down the street, having a cup ‘a joe, debating the most recent debacle at work…we pick out gentlemen and either a) “give” them to the other or b) “claim” them for our own. First come, first serve.

We do a lot more giving than claiming, and it becomes a contest to see who can give the most, ah, interesting and embarrassing ones to the other.

Tonight we were at a basketball game. She grabbed ahold of my arm and pointed across the court.  “YOU!” A guy with iron-gray hair down to his shoulders, a beret, a kilt (yes, I am so dead serious), calf-high socks with leather sandals. Yeah, she scored pretty big with that gift.

Moments later I retaliated. A guy decked out in acid-wash denim jeans…and acid-wash denim jacket. A mullet. A gray mullet. And a handlebar mustache with a goatee. Kilt Man probably trumped Denim Wash Man but I sure gave it my best shot.
